Halloween 2010

Jayling got to meet up with her 2 buddies, Link and Grei today. She didn't want to get into her purple flower costume initially so she was a princess early in the evening. We got to see a lot of great costumes at the mall and even trick-or-treated at a few stores. It got really crowded so we headed over to Midi's house where the kids played for a little while. I was able to get Jayling into her costume (although only briefly, into her hat) and we headed to a few homes to trick-or-treat. Although she didn't get to do much trick-or-treating, she sure had a fun night with her pals :)

Happy 1st Birthday

A year ago today, our precious Jayling was born...can you believe a year went by!!! She celebrated with lots of good friends and family. We had a catered lunch at a nearby park pavilion and although there were a light showers midway, that didn't stop our celebration. It was wonderful to see everyone and catch up. Jayling then had visitors come by the house in the evening including the Regalados and Bryce. Jayling opened her gifts gradually over the next day or so. She thanks everyone for their generosity and looks forward to celebrating her next birthday with all of you again!!

Jayling turns 9 months!

Today, Jayling is 9 months!! A fun-filled Friday in Bellevue ends with a winemaker's dinner where Jayling was able to get dressed up and hang out with the adults. She was the only child there - in fact, I think our party was the youngest group there :) We enjoyed a yummy dinner and even though, Jayling wasn't able to enjoy much of the menu, she was all smiles! I was so touched when several people came up to me at the end and said, "I can't believe how well-behaved your daughter was - I could never have brought my kids to these events, let alone my current grandkids." I was such a proud mother at that moment.

Playful Jayling @ 8 mos

Jayling is now 8 months old and is doing great. She enjoys her play mat and has become fond of her caterpillar, books, and blocks. She's so much fun to play with!

Aberdeen Center

Being more than 6 months old now, Jayling is very inquisitive and curious. Everything is enchanting!! She truly loves traveling outdoors and it shows! (As you can also tell, she loves posing for pictures...haha!)

Happy CNY!

Chinese New Year was a busy but very festive time for our family. Jayling's grandparents along with her Aunt Michelle and Uncle Rob were in town. We had a traditional dinner New Year's Eve cooked by Grandma and spent a splendid day in Vancouver, BC enjoying CNY festivities along with some Olympic festivities.

Playful

Jayling showing her playful side as she hung out with Mom & Dad on football Sunday. She was as excited as they were for being the highest scorers of the week in their fantasy league! Or perhaps, she's just excited (and surprised) that her Mom's Denver Broncos are undefeated.... haha!
